Makutano Digital ("us", "we", "our") operates the SmartClass application (the "Service"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to: Email address, First name and last name (from Google Sign-In), Usage Data.
- Child's Data: For users creating a child profile, we collect the child's name and email address. This information is provided by the parent or legal guardian and is used solely to link the child's account to the parent's account and personalize their learning experience.
- Usage Data: We may also collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. This includes quiz history, questions asked to the AI Tutor, and notes generated.
- Tracking & Cookies Data: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. - Google Firebase: Used for authentication, database, storage, and analytics.
- Google AI (Gemini): Used for processing queries and generating content within our AI features.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is designed for use by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We require parents to create an account first and then create and link their child's account. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data without your consent, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
